Explore Tardinghen and Côte d’Opale

From Les gîtes du grand saule, enjoy the natural beauty of Tardinghen and the Côte d’Opale, where dramatic cliffs, dunes, beaches and coastal paths shape the landscape. Discover the Grand Site de France des Deux-Caps, stretching between Cap Blanc-Nez and Cap Gris-Nez, along with seaside villages, scenic viewpoints and plenty of opportunities for walking and nature discovery.

Cap Gris-Nez

One of the emblematic viewpoints of the Côte d’Opale, Cap Gris-Nez offers sweeping views across the Channel and the surrounding coastline. Coastal paths make it an excellent destination for walking, landscape photography and observing migrating birds.

Cap Blanc-Nez

The striking white cliffs of Cap Blanc-Nez form one of the best-known landscapes of the region. Walking routes lead through the protected coastal environment, opening onto panoramic views over the Channel and, in clear weather, towards England.

Wissant

Set in the bay between the two caps, Wissant combines a long sandy beach with the character of a traditional fishing village. Its exposed coastal setting also makes it particularly popular for windsurfing and kitesurfing.

Plage du Châtelet

Tardinghen’s Plage du Châtelet offers a wilder seaside experience surrounded by the natural landscapes of the Côte d’Opale. It is also a starting point for walks along the coastal path towards Cap Gris-Nez, Audresselles or Wissant
